This hotel has 302 rooms. It is ideal for families because it has its own pools and playgrounds and it is separated from the other two hotels by a ridge.
The Kids’ Club has a professional staff and has its own pool and playing areas for children. The catering is also very family-friendly.

Al Bandar Hotel*****
This hotel with 198 rooms is at the center of the resort, and is located directly on the beach, which is 450 meters long.
The furniture of the rooms is in the traditional Omani style. Here are also located most of the restaurants and bars of the resort.
At Al Bandar and the other two Shangri-La hotels you will find many works of Omani artists, more than anywhere else in the country. The hotel is in effect a museum of contemporary Omani art. A catalog can be found in the book "The Art of Barr Al Jissah", obtainable from the reception or in the Bayt al Zubair Museum in Muscat.
